I don't know if you've been following the story of the missing swimsuit model whose body was recently found. I haven't, but when I read a recent recap on People's website, this is what struck me: authorities were only able to identify the remains from the serial numbers on her breast implants."We actually have had several cases where we identified the victim or the defendant in that way," Orange County District Attorney spokeswoman Susan Schroeder told People. She says implants carry serial numbers "because of the potential for recalls."
I wonder how long it will take CSI writers to incorporate this kind of detective work into a storyline.
